A robo-advisor is generally an asset management service that, based on your answers to a few simple questions, suggests products and an investment approach suited to you. There are two types: "advisory" and "discretionary."
An "advisory" service only proposes an optimal allocation of financial products, leaving the actual purchase up to the client to carry out manually. A "discretionary" service, on the other hand, handles everything on the client's behalf — from deciding the allocation to buying, selling, managing, and rebalancing.
Shift Kinrix Opt falls into the "discretionary" category, but differs significantly from typical robo-advisors in that it is an AI-powered asset management service. For more details, see Features of AI Investing.
